What we collect

• Anonymous usage counts. When you use a tool we count an event name, the page path and one coarse value (for example which dish or battery class was picked). Our own counter sets no cookies, stores no IP address, uses no identifiers and never records anything you typed.
• Google Analytics. Page views and the tool counts above, as described below.
• Hosting logs. Our host (Vercel) processes requests to deliver pages, under its own privacy policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages help. It loads Google’s gtag.js script from googletagmanager.com and sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_…, kept up to 2 years) so a returning browser can be recognized. Google receives the page address, the referring page, device and browser details, and an approximate location derived from your IP address (Google says Google Analytics 4 doesn’t log or store IP addresses). The tool counts above are also sent to Google Analytics with a “detail” value holding the same coarse value, never anything you typed.

• Google signals and ad personalization are turned off: no advertising features, no remarketing. We don’t sell the data.
• Event data is kept for 14 months.
• If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, Google Analytics isn’t loaded at all.
• To opt out, turn on Global Privacy Control, block cookies for this site, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

What we don’t collect

• The calculator and site search run in your browser. Your numbers and searches aren’t sent to us. A share link puts your choices in the address bar, and only you decide to send it.
• No tool asks for an address, a name, an email or an account number.
• No ad trackers, no social pixels, no selling or sharing of personal information (Google Analytics, above, runs with its advertising features off).
